Painted Portrait of Buster Crabbe

    This image is a portrait of Olympic swimmer and film actor, Buster Crabbe. Originally this portrait was in complete black and white. Properly using the brush tool and colorizing a B&W photo was the goal of this project. I chose to work with various values to create those shadowed and light filled areas, as well as complimentary colors such as the orange and blue to complete this work. This was the first colorization project I worked on, so I will acknowledge the saturation is a bit heavy. In future work I would be wearier of that, but overall, I think the color choices worked well for the image.
